Medical Makers

Teacher teaching

In collaboration with the Medical Makers and other partners, we are developing the first project that utilizes 3D printing to solve local problems and advance ‘Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights for Women and Girls’ living in the refugee camps of northern Uganda.

3D printing technology and digital fabrication are helping to rapidly bridge gaps in healthcare and other sectors by enabling the co-creation, modeling, and prototyping of solutions to local problems.  Through this project, we aim to create MHM products like menstrual circle beads, menstrual cups, anatomical male /female reproductive organs for training and demonstration purposes as well as designing and publishing 3D printables aimed at helping people with special needs, disability, etc conduct 3D design workshops and support the transfer of skills and knowledge. The Medical Makers technologies are focused on meeting the highest standards of safety, performance, and security in designing solutions.
